jpnn.com, JAKARTA – TNI commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, assessed that Benny Wanda and Veronica Koman are two figures who often raise the issue of separatism in cyberspace.
According to Hadi, the state must anticipate the movement of the two people and similar parties so that Indonesia can advance as a great nation.
This was relayed by Hadi when he attended a webinar titled Synergy of the Nation’s Children to Maintain Nation and State Integrity in the Face of Separatist Actions in Cyberspace, on Saturday (11/21).
It says that there are various forms of propaganda in the virtual world.
“Among other things, first, spreading false news that discredits the government, the main target being the general public and the younger generation that is thirsty for information, is not used to leaking any information from cyberspace and easily burns their emotions”, Hadi said.
Second, he continued, provoking the community by exploiting SARA-related issues, such as defamation of community leaders, religious leaders, certain ethnic treatment, or cases of racism against Papuan students in Malang and Surabaya, East Java.
“Third, spread the word about social issues and issues of separatism in English to seek sympathy and political support from the international community, as Benny Wenda and Veronica Koman did,” Hadi said.
Hadi asked the community to come together to fight against these parties. “If we are not able to anticipate the existence of separatist efforts in cyberspace, then we are far behind,” he explained.
