Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Member DPR of the faction of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Guspardi Gaus, urges the government to cancel the relaxation of large-scale social restrictionsPSBB) following the queue of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta airport during a pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19).

Gupardi said the government should provide a special mechanism to verify passenger files, so there was no need to create a crowd that could transmit the virus.

“The relaxation of PSBB is not necessary at airports, terminals, etc. The government must revoke this relaxation of transport,” Guspardi said in a short message to CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (5/15).
Guspardi recalled that Idul Fitri’s homecoming period is still long. It is concerned that similar incidents will be repeated if the government still implements the relaxation of transport.

He questioned the government’s reason for reopening transportation to move the economy. According to him, this is really dangerous for people because it leads to a crowd.

“Is this what it means to make peace with the corona virus?” he said.

Separately, the Secretary of the PPP DPR RI fraction Achmad Baidowi highlighted the large number of residents who pocketed the tasks to qualify for the flight. Even more so with the findings of a fake service letter sales case.

He asked Angkasa Pura I and II as state airport managers to improve their willingness to oversee the government’s decision to relax transportation.

“It is worth exploring the large number of residents who have bagged chores, not just camouflage as a strategy to go home,” Baidowi told reporters on Friday (5/15).

Previously, there was a build-up at the Soekarno-Hatta airport on Thursday (5/15).

Density at Terminal 2 at Soetta Airport, Febri said, had happened around 4:00 am. Febri Toga, Senior Manager of Communications and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, explained that the density was caused by 11 Lion Air Group flights and two Citilink flights that were almost simultaneously between 06:00 and 08:00 in the morning.
