Laeli Atik Supriyatin (27), has left her hometown for 6 years in Lebaksiu, Tegal Regency, Central Java. The son of this simple farmer has lived in Jakarta since 2014 because he received an invitation to enter the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Indonesia on the Bidik Misi road.
Laeli is the fourth of seven children. Her parents live in Kesuben Village, Lebaksiu, Tegal Regency, Central Java. Laeli’s father was a farmer, while her mother worked as a tailor.
“Laeli Atik Supriyatin is my son, he is the fourth of seven siblings. He went to Jakarta because he was accepted to the University of Indonesia in 2014. Laeli took Geography (specialization) through Bidik Misi,” Laeli’s mother Masliha said (58) when they met at his home. Friday (18/9/2020).
After graduating from college, Atik still reported that he was working. The next news was to inform him that he was married to Djumadil Al Fajri, a man who was also his partner in carrying out the mutilation.
But Masliha said she had lost contact with Laeli in the past 1.5 years. Already twice Eid, Laeli did not return home. The cell phone number left to the family is also not active. During that time, the family continued to search for Laeli’s whereabouts.
After losing touch for 1.5 years, the family can find Laeli again, but they must also come to terms with the harsh reality. Laeli was found after being arrested by the police in connection with a mutilation case.
The family learned of Laeli’s involvement in this sadistic murder from the media. Since her arrest, Tegal’s family has never received an official police notification of the problem.
