The government says there are six brands Vaccine for COVID-19 which is free to the general public.
The Covid-19 Vaccination spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said that the free vaccine was previously regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.01.07 / Menkes / 9860/2020 that was signed by the Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto on December 3.
Namely, vaccines produced by Bio Farma, Astra Zeneca, Sinopharm, Moderna, Pfizer Inc and BioNtech, and Sinovac Biotech.

Nadia explained that the government is currently still in the stage of finalizing the implementation instructions and technical guidelines. So he asked the public to be patient while waiting for the development of information on vaccination from the central government.
Until now, the government is still awaiting a decision from the Food and Drug Supervision Agency (BPOM) regarding the issuance of an emergency permit for the use of a candidate vaccine from a Chinese company, Sinovac, which was imported into Indonesia. with a total of 1.2 million doses last Sunday (6/12).
“The guidelines are in the process of being finalized and adjusted to current policies,” he said.
In the future, after the Sinovac vaccine candidate has obtained an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the BPOM and received a halal label from the Ulema Council of Indonesia (MUI). Then your party will immediately provide socialization related to free vaccines to all citizens of the country.

Previously, President Joko Widodo presented the free corona vaccine to the public on Wednesday (12/16). The donation was not related to the active participation of the Social Security Administration of Health (BPJS).
Public policy observer Trubus Rahadiansyah believes that detailed regulations are needed on brands of free vaccines.
“When it’s free, where is it for? Sinovac or for what? There must be coordination because the public perception of any brand should not be gratuitous. Coordination must be carried out by the government and public communication, ”he said.
