SITUBONDO, KOMPAS.com – Situbondo Regent Dadang Wigiarto died of Covid-19 at RSD Dr. Abdoer Rahem, Situbondo, East Java, on Thursday (11/26/2020).

This information was confirmed by the acting head of the Situbondo Health Service, Akhmad Yulianto.

“That’s right (he died), 30 minutes ago,” Yuli said when contacted. Kompas.com, Thursday.

Dadang is known to be positive for Covid-19 after undergoing tests swab on Tuesday (11/24/2020). The results of the swab test came out the same day.

“Yes, because of Covid-19,” Yuli said.

After testing positive for Covid-19, Dadang was treated at RSD Dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo. His condition was termed stable and was categorized as without symptoms.

However, three days in the hospital, Dadang died.

Currently, Yuli and several government officials from the Situbondo district are at the Dr. Abdoer Rahem Hospital.

According to him, Dadang’s body is in preparation for its review. The plan is for the Situbondo Regent to be buried tonight.

“Tonight’s plan is to be buried at Jalan Mawar,” he said.

Previously, the Regent of Dadang tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a hectic routine for the past few weeks.

The Situbondo Health Office has not been able to confirm the origin of the Dadang Regent infection.

Various governing activities monitored by the Health Service include receiving an award from the East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Malang on November 16, 2020.

He also attended Korpri activities on the coast of the Panarukan district on Saturday (11/21/2020).
