Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Singapore temporarily stop using two vaccine flu following reports of the deaths of dozens of South Koreans.

The Health Authority of Singapore (HSA) is further investigating the link between the deaths reported by South Korea and the existing vaccine in Singapore.

The Health Ministry and HSA said there have been no deaths related to the two vaccines in Singapore to date.

“This is a precautionary measure after the reported death after influenza vaccination in South Korea,” they said. The times of the strait, Monday (10/26).

Information from the South Korean authorities indicated that the deceased had been injected with seven brands of influenza vaccine.

Two of the seven brands are available in Singapore. SKYCellflu Quadrivalent is produced by SK Bioscience and distributed there by AJ Biologics. Meanwhile, VaxigripTetra is produced by Sanofi Pasteur and distributed locally by Sanofi Aventis.

Like other medications, vaccines can cause side effects, such as pain and redness at the injection site, fever, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, and nausea.

“These side effects are generally mild and go away on their own. In rare cases, a person may have a high fever or a severe allergic reaction (such as difficulty breathing, wheezing, and swelling around the eyes) and seek immediate medical attention. the HSA said.

In addition, the Ministry of Health and the HSA said that the HSA had evaluated vaccines approved for use in Singapore.

They say this is done to ensure vaccines meet required international standards for quality, safety, and efficacy.

The HSA monitors vaccine safety through a monitoring system that relies on a network of local healthcare professionals and international regulatory partners to detect adverse events that are suspected of being related to treatment.

The Korea Disease Prevention and Control Agency (KDCA) said a total of 48 people died after being vaccinated against the flu.

The South Korean government has yet to declare the flu vaccine dangerous. The Yonhap news agency said the vaccine was manufactured by several South Korean pharmaceutical companies, namely Korea Vaccine, Boryung Biopharma, LG Chem, SK Bioscience, and GC Pharma.

South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun has called for a full investigation.

Se-Kyun called for a further investigation to discover the exact cause of death and respond to public anxiety.

However, in a press release from the South Korean Ministry of Health, it was stated that the government did not stop the vaccine campaign.

South Korean health officials say there is no direct link between flu shots and the spate of deaths among its citizens.
