TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The head of the Public Information Division of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, confirmed that the EM journalist (Edy Mulyadi) was examined as a witness to the confrontation between members of FPI Laskar and the police in the Cikampek KM 50 toll road.

“We also convey that you don’t have to worry because investigators want to get real information about what happened to you,” Ahmad said at a news conference on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Ahmad said EM was subpoenaed as a witness for the alleged criminal act of committing acts of violence together in public along with the possession of firearms and sharps weapons without permission or against officers, as mentioned in Article 170 of the Penal Code along with Article 1, paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) Emergency Law Number 12 Year 1951 and / or Article 214 KUHP and / or Article 216 KUHP.

According to Ahmad, if there is information known to MS, you should pass it on to investigators and not brag outside.

“The investigator hopes that EM will give the true and direct information about the incident transmitted by EM’s brother to a witness, whose witnesses have already been examined by Bareskrim Dittipidum investigators,” he said.

EM previously uploaded a video on his YouTube account about the shooting of FPI Laskar members and the police on the Cikampek KM 50 toll road. In the 06.24 second video, EM admitted that he had interviewed several merchants at the scene.

Regarding the video, Ahmad said that investigators from the National Police’s Cybercrime Directorate are still conducting an in-depth study.
