KOMPAS.com – Eleven special divers were deployed to search for 17 crew members (ABK) who disappeared after the collision between the MV Habco Pioneer and MV Barokah Jaya ships in the waters off Balongan, Indramayu, West Java, on Saturday (3/4 / 2021).
“We deployed KN SAR Wisnu with ABK 19 people, a special group of 11 divers,” said Deden Ridwansah, head of Bandung, West Java SAR Office, when contacted by Kompas.com, on Saturday (3/4/2021) at night.
In addition to the divers, Deden explained, the search process also involved the Eretan Police and KN SAR Wisnu.

“That’s right. Then also from the SAR office in Bandung a RIB boat with 4 crew members was also mobilized, then 4 people joined the Eretan Police using fishing boats,” Deden said.
As previously reported, the collision of the ships Habco Pioneer and MV Barokah Jaya occurred at 4:45 p.m. WIB.
The coordinates of the accident are 05’37’35 “S 108’17’18” E or about 60 miles off the coast of Balongan.

As a result of the collision, the MV Barokah capsized and 32 crew members sank.
At that time, 15 crew members were successfully evacuated and another 17 were still searching for joint officers.
“That’s right. Then also from the SAR office in Bandung a RIB boat with 4 crew members was also mobilized, then 4 people joined the Eretan Police using fishing boats,” Deden said.
Currently, the search process continues and the SAR team has also established a post at the port of Karangsong, Indramayu.
