Seven soldiers TNI of Central Java being drawn into lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender sexual deviance cases (Lgbt). The seven elements are currently on trial in the II-10 Semarang Military Court.
The seven TNI soldiers involved in LGBT consisted of 1 TNI Army personnel and 6 members of the TNI Air Force.
“There are seven cases with seven defendants. 1 from the Army and 6 from the Air Force,” said on Friday (10/16) the deputy chief of the Semarang II-10 Military Court, Lieutenant Colonel Sus Wahyupi, in his office.
Public Relations of Military Court II-10 Semarang, Lieutenant Colonel Asmawi, affirmed that the seven TNI defendants affected by the LGBT case were Serka RR, Pelda AN, Serka AD, Captain IC, Serka SGN, Serka AAB and Praka P.
According to Asmawi, Praka P had reached the termination verdict, but filed an appeal.
“The seven defendants RR, AN, AD, IC, SGN, AAB and P. Yang P were sentenced to be fired yesterday, but have filed an appeal,” Asmawi said.
Meanwhile, Colonel Susanto of Kapendam IV Diponegoro emphasized that Kodam IV Diponegoro would impose strict penalties if any of its staff engaged in deviant sexual behavior.
“For every disciplinary offender, no matter how small, including deviant sexual behavior, he will be dealt with firmly. There is no mercy. He has tarnished the institution of TNI,” said Susanto.
The existence of TNI soldiers involved in LGBT was recently revealed by the Chief of the Military Chamber of the Supreme Court, Major General (ret) Burhan Dahlan.
He revealed that the rise of LGBT groups has become a new phenomenon among TNI officers, especially among Army officers.
Burhan admitted that he obtained this information during a discussion at TNI AD headquarters. LGBT groups within TNIs, he said, were led by soldiers with the rank of sergeants.
