Donald Trump and his supporters protested and rejected defeat in the United States (US) presidential elections. When Joe Biden finished his victory speech, they still spoke loudly and refused to admit it.
Biden was declared to have won the US presidential election after it was projected that he would win over Trump in the states of Pennsylvania and Nevada. The Fox News and Associated Press tally shows Biden ahead in Pennsylvania with 49.7 percent (3,350,884 votes) against Trump with 49.1 percent (3,313,529 votes). In Nevada, Biden led with 642,604 votes (49.9 percent) against Trump with 616,905 votes (47.9 percent).
It takes 270 electoral votes, out of a total of 538 electoral votes, to win the US presidential election. Biden obtained a total of 290 electoral votes, after receiving an additional 26 electoral votes from Pennsylvania and Nevada.
With the 290 electoral votes, Biden was appointed president-elect of the United States who would replace Trump later.
However, Trump did not want to immediately acknowledge Biden’s victory. He accused fraud and took steps to challenge the results of the US presidential elections.
Even his followers have not given up. They were busy hitting the streets. Across the country, they are calling for the US presidential election not to end
On the other hand, Biden has already talked about unity. In his victory speech, he made clear that Trump supporters are not enemies.
