Neymar saw the red card in the defeat of Paris Saint-German against Marseille. Neymar was sent off after being caught slapping Álvaro González.

PSG vs Marseille took place at the Parc des Princes, on Monday (9/14/2020) WIB early in the morning, in the continuation of Ligue 1 2020/2021. The home team lost 0-1 through Florian Thauvin in the 31st minute.

This duel took place with a lot of tension and the referee had to repeatedly issue yellow cards to both sides. The culmination of the high tension of this match occurred in injury time.

Dario Benedetto’s offensive on Leandro Paredes resulted in a push between the PSG and Marseille players. In the crowd, Neymar hit Álvaro González on the head.

Three PSG players, Layvin Kurzawa, Paredes and Neymar, had to be rewarded with a red card. Two Marseille players, Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto, were also sent off.

Neymar was the last person to receive a red card after referee Jerome Brisard received a report from a VAR (video assistant referee) official. In the replay, Neymar was caught slapping Álvaro, who was arguing with PSG players Paredes and Kurzawa.

The emotions of Neymar and Paredes in this game are of course very regrettable, these two players have just returned to the team after being exposed to the Corona virus. They even missed the first week that PSG lost to Lens.

This result puts PSG temporarily in 18th position with zero points. Thomas Tuchel’s team conceded two goals without scoring in the first two games.
