A truck who was driving on the highway Puncak Bogor had a fatal accident and resulted in the death of five people at the scene on Saturday (10/17).
The head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Fitra Zuanda, said the accident occurred when a truck traveling from Cianjur to Jakarta failed to apply the brake, also known as it failed on the downhill road, colliding several vehicles.

He said the first time the truck collided with a Vario motorcycle driven by two people. Due to the road conditions on the descent, the truck kept driving and again crashed into the N-Max motorcycle driven by two people.
As a result, the four motorcyclists died at the scene after being run over by the truck.
Not only that, the truck that was still in motion crashed into a nearby Grand Max minibus. At least there were four people in that car.
“In the truck, one driver was killed at the scene, two were seriously injured. So in total, five were killed, five were slightly injured, two were seriously injured,” he said.
The truck finally came to a stop when it collided with a store around the road. Of the tents, there were no casualties, but they suffered material losses of Rs 40 million.
Even now, the injured victim continues to receive treatment at Cisarua Hospital, Bogor. Meanwhile, for the victims who died, they were immediately taken away by their families.
He said police are currently opening an investigation related to the fatal crash incident. However, no one has been identified as a suspect to date.
He said the driver with the initials EH (29) from Cianjur did not actually have full truck driving requirements. “The controller also does not meet the requirements of the controller, ie SIM. We are still in development,” he concluded.
