KOMPAS.com – A traveling clothing merchant named Listifah (38), a resident of Megawon Village, Jati district, Kudus Regency, Central Java, was found dead in a hotel room on Monday (10/26/2020).
The discovery of the victim’s body began when the hotel receptionist became suspicious because there was no response when he was called and knocked on the door from outside.
Fearing something would happen, the hotel receptionist eventually showed up to the police to help verify.
When the door was successfully opened and the room searched, it turned out that the victim was found dead.

After the evacuation and the medical examination, it was found that the victim’s body showed signs of violence due to abuse. With these findings, the victim allegedly died as a result of a murder.
“It is suspected that the victim was murdered. There were signs of violence against the victim. Among them bruises on the victim’s neck, hands and back. Then there was blood from the mouth and nose,” explained the Chief of Police of Jati, AKP Bambang Sutaryo.
The perpetrator was arrested
After processing the scene of the case and developing an investigation, the perpetrator was soon secured.
“It was less than 7 hours, on Monday night we arrested the perpetrators in the Mlati Kidul Kudus area,” explained the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kudus Police, AKP Agustinus David.
The perpetrator was identified as Kiswanto Hariyono (40), a resident of Loram Village, Jati district, Kudus.

He was none other than the childhood friend of the victim when he was in primary school (SD).
Despite the fact that each of them was married, the aggressor admitted that during the last months he had an illicit relationship or an affair with the victim.

David said that when the incident occurred, the perpetrator asked to meet the victim at the scene.
After meeting in room 105 that was ordered, the assailant and the victim had sex.
After doing this, the two got into a fight. The assailant asked the victim to end the prohibited relationship. The reason was because his wife had caught him.
But the victim apparently refused, until finally the assailant became emotionally drunk and strangled him to death.

For his actions, the author will be charged under article 338 of the Penal Code with the threat of 15 years in prison.
