JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Chairman of the Higher Council of the Democratic Party Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) revealed his party’s reasons for rejecting the ratification of the Job Creation Bill at the Plenary Meeting of the DPR on Monday (10/5/2020).
According to SBY, there is still a problematic substance in the Job Creation Bill, both the articles and the government concerns such as job creation, investment and the economy.
“What the Democratic Faction is thinking here and there is still a problem, so it will take time to solve it Sure, “he said.

SBY also said that the Democratic Party rejected approval of the bill due to rejection by elements of society such as environmental groups, farmers and local people.
Therefore, if the bill is passed, it will provoke great resistance.
“Why not? This is a Democratic suggestion, in fact there is still time for a month, two months and three months until it is completely unanimous,” he said.
SBY also suggested that the government and DPR consult with elements of society that reject the Job Creation Bill until they find common ground.

The Democratic Party, SBY said, claimed that the rejection of ratification of the broad bill was not to fight the country.
However, remember that there are too many problems in the invoice and communication with the elements of society must be built.
“So you consider yourself Democrats against the state? Yes, no, the Democrats are small now, he said, and we are also out of government. We know each other. Our place to speak is there (in the RPD),” he concluded.

The previous DPR has confirmed the general law of the Cipta Kerja bill through a plenary session, on Monday (10/5/2020).
Of the nine factions in the DPR, only the Democratic Party and the Prosperous Justice Party faction rejected all the results of the deliberations on the Job Creation Bill.
As a result, the Job Creation Bill still became law. Most of the government and DPR factions agree.
