Amsterdam –
Liverpool fans must have been anxious when they saw Sadio Mane’s feet compressed by ice in the game against Ajax Amsterdam. Coach Juergen Klopp has an explanation.
Liverpool faced Ajax on the first day of Group C of the Champions League at the Johan Cruyff ArenA, on Thursday (10/22/2020) WIB at dawn. Playing with the attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mane, Liverpool seemed aggressive.
Several times the opportunity was obtained but it never became a goal, before Mane’s shot, which did not actually lead to a goal, was converted into a goal after hitting Nicolás Tagliafico in the 36th minute.
The goal lasted until the end of the match and Liverpool successfully started the Champions League with a victory. However, there is something blocking Liverpool’s success in winning all three points.
Klopp gathered all three of his forward players with 30 minutes remaining. When the camera pointed at the bench, Mane was sitting with his right leg covered by Liverpool medical staff.
This spectacle is certainly concerning because Liverpool could lose its main players again, amid a tight schedule until the end of this year. Prior to this, Virgil van Dijk had left Liverpool, which was out of the game until the season ended, then Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara were in no condition to play against Ajax.

If Mane ends up absent, then Liverpool can be confused because they are a main player. But, Klopp quickly quelled the concern that Mane was only compressing due to a dead jump.
Dead leg is a condition where the muscles and bones hit due to excessive pressure, making it difficult for the mane to walk.
“Sadio has had a dead leg in recent days. He continues with the injury, that’s the whole problem,” Klopp said. Liverpool Echo.
“It still hurts, but it’s not a big problem. When he’s not playing, he’s always compressing his legs. That’s it,” Klopp continued.
Sadio Mane has scored four goals in six games in all competitions this season. Liverpool will face Sheffield United this weekend.
