Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil admitted that he had suggested to the DKI governor Anies Baswedan consult with the central government before implementing large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) total.
Emil, according to Ridwan Kamil’s convocation, stated that his party held a meeting with regional chiefs in the Jabodebatek and Tangerang regions last Thursday (9/10). During the meeting, Anies relayed her plan for a full PSBB and asked neighboring regions for responses.
“We have decided that the West Java strategy is divided into two, the Bodebek strategy (Bogor, Depok, Bekasi) and the non-Bodebek strategy. If Bodebek has a frequency, if Anies goes to the left, we will the left, if Anies goes to the right. Because the West Java covid cluster is also quite the largest, almost 70 percent is in Bodebek, “he said at the West Java DPRD building on Friday (9 /eleven).
As for the Bodebek area, which is adjacent to DKI Jakarta, according to Emil, the proportional PSBB status still applies. Existing policies at DKI will also be followed in West Java, especially in the Bodebek area.
“Then there will be adjustments, there is a relationship with the limitation in Jakarta, Bodebek will adjust. But the Bodebek economy is not just a Jakarta issue, there is an independent economy, I think it will be done,” he said.
During the meeting, Ridwan Kamil admitted that he asked Anies to consult with the center considering that the overall policy of PSBB had a serious impact.
“I suggest to the governor of Jakarta that he consult more with the central government. Because all the policies in Jakarta are related to impacts at the national level,” he said.
