Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Imam Besar Front Pembela Islam (REIT) Muhammad Rizieq Shihab revealed that his party would take legal action to follow the shooting of six soldiers in a confrontation with police long time.

“We will take legal action in a procedural manner. We will be firm with anyone involved in this massacre. We will not let them sleep in peace,” Rizieq said in a voice message received. CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (12/9).

He considers that through this legal channel, those responsible for the shootings can expose themselves to the intellectual actors behind the events. He also asked members to refrain from responding to the ‘bloody’ incident that occurred on Monday (7/12) morning.

“Who carried out the massacres in the countryside, until it will be revealed who was the mastermind who organized this,” he said.

However, he did not elaborate on the legal mechanism it would take.

Rizieq added that FPI had formed a team to find out the details of the conditions of the six shooting victims. He said that FPI will also deliver a statement on this matter.

“The full report we will have a national press release later,” he explained.

Six FPI soldiers guarding Rizieq Shihab were found to have been killed in a clash with police at KM50 Tol Jakarta-Cikampek on Monday morning (12/7).

Police said they were first attacked with guns and sharp weapons. Meanwhile, four other people are said to have fled after the clash.

Meanwhile, FPI admitted that he was first attacked by an Unknown Person (OTK) when he was accompanying FPI High Priest Rizieq Shihab attending the recitation event.

Currently, the case has been transferred in its entirety to the Police Headquarters.
