He admitted that he was in a caravan when unknown cars followed his entourage in the middle of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Monday morning (7/12/2020).

At the time, Rizieq admitted that he did not suspect that the car trying to approach his entourage was the police.

“We have never suspected, thought, much less accused. What we know is that they are bad people who want to hurt us, ”said Rizieq.

Rizieq said the number of cars trying to maneuver towards his entourage was very large.

“A lot of cars took turns trying to move forward, to get to Habib Hanif’s car that was right behind me, even to be able to catch up with my car in front,” Rizieq said.

Rizieq said the two escort cars in his group tried to drive them away.

He said his bodyguards kept the scouts’ cars away from the main group in a smart way.

According to previous FPI statements, two cars from the Rizieq guard separated from the main entourage when they confronted the surveillance car.

FPI version of body condition

Previously, the FPI issued an official statement on the status of the six bodies of its soldiers who were shot dead by the police.

The FPI said there was more than one bullet hole in each body.

“That all the bodies contained more than one bullet hole,” an official press release signed by FPI President General Ahmad Shabri Lubis and FPI Secretary General Munarman said on Wednesday.

The FPI said that the shots against the members of the laskar had the same objective, that is, all the shots aimed at the heart.

“Seen from the close-ups, in the opinion of the members present at the funeral procession,
that he was shot point-blank, “Shabri Lubis said through the statement.

Still citing the expert’s opinion, FPI said the shots aimed at the heart were fired from the front, chest, and some from behind.

Finally, the FPI stated that the corpses of most of the bodies showed signs of torture.

After the autopsy at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta, the police handed over all the bodies to their respective families.

The six bodies were taken away by the FPI, then interred at the Al Islah Petamburan Mosque in central Jakarta, before being interred.

The bodies are buried in different places according to the wishes of the family.

Police chronology

Previously, the police said that the car used by 10 Rizieq Shihab supporters had struck the police vehicle first.

This happened on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road in the early hours of Monday.

At the time, according to police, his party was investigating the alleged plan to mobilize Rizieq supporters to the Metro Jaya Regional Police Station on Monday afternoon to guard the judicial process.

Polda Metro Director of General Criminal Investigation (Direskrimum) Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said the car containing the FPI special laskar crashed the police car following it several times.

“The process of crashing first was the number of times our car was hit and stuck,” Tubagus said at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Monday.

After that, Tubagus said, they immediately carried out attacks with sharp weapons and pistols at the members.

However, he did not explain the attack process.

“The role is clear that there are two cars that are close to us that will be stopped by us and then carry out the attack. There are those who wear sajam and wear senpi, ”Tubagus said.

Tubagus noted that the evidence of the attack perpetrated by the FPI special laskar against the police had been pocketed, one of which was the result of voice messages.

The voice recording shows a conversation by the FPI Special Army to harm the police.

“There is also evidence of how the voice notes are planned to be drawn there, then trapped, everything is clearly stated or stated in the voice notes,” Tubagus said.

In the voice memo, according to the police, the FPI Special Troops had learned that the party that followed was the police.

Even so, the FPI Laskar task force continued to attack the police.

“It’s very obvious how the planning went, how the person in question knew it was a police car and then how he was lured, caught, everything was visible, inside (VN), it was very real,” Tubagus said.

Feeling threatened, the police opened fire and killed six of Rizieq’s bodyguards.

During the press conference, the police presented a series of pieces of evidence that belonged to Rizieq’s supporters.

There were firearms in the form of two pistols and seven bullets. Additionally, there were three cartridge housings.

According to the police, the two pistols were not homemade pistols. According to the police version, the paramilitaries shot three times.

Other evidence shown is a sword and sickle.
