JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) will present a preliminary trial after its leader, Rizieq Shihab, was identified as a suspect and detained by the Jakarta Police, on Saturday (12/12/2020) at midnight. Rizieq’s attorney, Alamsyah Hanafiah, said that.
“What is clear is that we will do the pre-trial,” Alamsyah said at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters early Sunday morning, as reported. Compass TV.
According to Alamsyah, he will coordinate with the FPI legal team regarding next steps.
“Tomorrow (today) me and the legal team will coordinate again. Then we will take action,” he said.

Rizieq Shihab was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center from Saturday to December 31.
Rizieq was arrested as a suspect in a mob case amid the Covid-19 pandemic in Petamburan, central Jakarta, on November 14.
“We will detain the MRS suspect from December 12, 2020, (for) the next 20 days. Then, until December 31, 2020,” the head of the Public Relations Division of the MRS said on Sunday morning. Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono.
Argo explained that there were both objective and subjective reasons for Rizieq’s arrest.
“The objective reasons are because there is a criminal threat of more than five years, and subjective reasons so that the suspect does not escape, the suspect does not lose evidence and the third party does not repeat his actions, and to facilitate the investigation process,” he added Argo.
Rizieq was detained after being questioned for about 10 hours from 11:30 AM WIB to 10:00 PM yesterday.
During the exam, the researchers quizzed Rizieq with 84 questions.
