One of the richest people in Indonesia, Budi Hartono, sent a letter rejecting DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan’s plan to implement large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). Budi Hartono sent the letter to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

This was revealed in Peter Frans Gontha’s Instagram post seen on Saturday (12/09/2020).

“Letter from Budi Hartono, the richest person in Indonesia to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, SEPTEMBER 2020,” Peter wrote in his photographic statement.

In the letter uploaded by the former Indonesian ambassador to Poland, Budi Hartono considered the Jakarta PSBB plan to be inappropriate because it was not effective in reducing the spread of the Corona virus. It also assessed that the capacity of hospitals (RS) in DKI Jakarta will remain full with or without PSBB.

“This is because the regional / central government must continue to prepare separate isolation areas to handle the increase in cases,” Budi wrote in the letter.

He is of the opinion that in order to control Corona’s case rate, there must be rules and penalties for people who are not disciplined.

“The task of imposing such sanctions or sanctions is the duty of the regional head, in this case the governor of DKI Jakarta,” he wrote again.

For information, Budi Hartono and his brother Michael Hartono are among the richest Indonesians. Budi Hartono’s wealth, to quote Forbes, currently stands at $ 17.2 billion.
