Some of these are the authoritarian leaders favored by President Donald Trump during his four years in office. Trump’s interest in authoritarian leaders is just one of the few chaos that has wreaked havoc in his time in the White House.

In 2016, the Kremlin congratulated Trump hours after the winner was discovered. But in this year’s presidential election, Putin has not delivered a similar message to Biden.

During his presidency, Trump violated US policy by repeatedly praising Putin, raising suspicions about the possible link between his campaign team and Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
But good relations between Russia and the United States are unlikely to be comfortable, given that Biden promised to crack down on foreign interference “as an act of hostility.”

President of China Xi Jinping
Although Trump often uses harsh rhetoric against China, he at least received congratulations from President Xi Jinping for winning the 2016 presidential election.
In fact, Xi is calling for “healthy and stable” Sino-US relations to advance.
But this year relations between the two have deteriorated amid divisions over trade, technology, human rights, China’s expansionary accusations and most of Trump’s allegations about the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although his relationship with Trump has deteriorated, Xi has not welcomed Biden’s victory. On Monday (September 11), the Chinese government avoided questions about when to congratulate Biden.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said only that it would act “in accordance with international practice.”
Beijing may not feel obligated to compromise with the United States under the new government.
“While Biden will be tough on China and will work with partners and allies to have a unified China policy, his platform says that we will work with China in areas of common interest, be it climate change or North Korea,” von Hippel said.
President Brazil Jair Bolsonaro
Bolsonaro, who is similar to Trump in underestimating the corona virus pandemic, was also silent on Trump’s defeat.
She and her children, who also play an active role in politics, hope that Trump can be re-elected. One of his sons, Eduardo Bolsonaro, even wore a hat that read “Trump 2020” on his way to Washington on his father’s envoy.
He also joined in the questioning of Biden’s vote acquisition and the integrity of the US presidential election via Twitter last week.

Like Trump, Bolsonaro carried out a polarization that sparked controversy by making a series of misogynistic, racist and homophobic statements.
It has repeatedly disparaged Covid-19 despite the fact that Brazil is one of the deadliest coronavirus outbreaks in the world.
With Trump’s defeat, Bolsonaro lost a diplomatic ally and had to face a US president focused on human rights and the environment.

Obrador is one of the world leaders to make a cautious statement regarding the US presidential election, in which he did not call Biden the winner.
Instead, he said he needed to wait until Trump’s lawsuit over the vote count was finalized.

Obrador has maintained close ties with the US president in recent years, even as he has had to deal with economic harassment and racist rhetoric from Trump. The two leaders met in July to celebrate the implementation of the trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Obrador’s reluctance to congratulate Biden was likely due to friendship. The move could also be interpreted as a continuation of a foreign policy tradition that actively avoids commenting on the affairs of other countries.
