RI declares Non Grata Persona for German embassy staff visiting FPI

Reportedly, the personnel from the German Embassy who visited the FPI were intelligence agents. Now, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that German Embassy staff can no longer come to Indonesia. He became a person with a stamp persona non grata.

“The Indonesian government has emphasized to the German government that German diplomats must be repatriated and not return to Indonesia,” Director General of Information and Public Diplomacy Teuku Faizasyah told detikcom, Tuesday (12/29/2020).

Faizasyah explained that the Republic of Indonesia asked the staff of the German Embassy to return to their country. On the other hand, the German Embassy also repatriated its staff. The Indonesian government itself also did not want to accept that the German embassy staff would visit Indonesia again.

The Foreign Ministry also responded to information received by members of the DPR regarding the identity of the German Embassy staff who visited the FPI headquarters in Petamburan, Jakarta.

In addition, DPR members claimed to have received information that German embassy personnel were intelligence personnel.
