Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, explained the reason for the failure to comply with the summons of the Polda Metro Jaya Investigation Team in relation to the alleged violation of health protocols in a series of activities of the Islamic Defenders Front ( FPI) last week.
Ariza said he was unable to attend because there were other agendas that had to be followed. It’s just that, he said, he would be present at the second call scheduled for Monday (11/23/2020).
“I, as Lieutenant Governor, received a subpoena for clarification scheduled today last night [Kamis] 10 o’clock because I can’t ask for Friday. But on Friday from the Regional Police there is an event, so it is scheduled for Monday at 11 o’clock, ”said Ariza at the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Thursday (11/19/2020).
According to him, there are no problems related to the invitation to clarify. He stressed that he would provide information based on facts and data on the ground.
“Ready, I’ll come, no problem. We all have to comply with the invitation to ask for clarification,” he said.
Polda Metro Jaya recalled DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria after previously being absent from the investigation team’s subpoena regarding the criminal case of violation of health protocols in the DKI Jakarta area.
The head of the Public Information Office of the National Police, Brigadier General Pol Awi Setiyono, stated that investigators had sent a withdrawal letter to DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria.
He explained that Polda Metro Jaya’s research team would ask for information on the granting of crowd permits to the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) amid the Covid-19 pandemic in DKI Jakarta.
“Those who are not yet present will be withdrawn,” he said on Thursday (19/20).
Awi said that Polda Metro Jaya had also sent a subpoena to the chairman of the committee for the Prophet’s birthday and the marriage contract of Habib Rizieq Shihab’s daughter with the initials MI, because she was absent for no reason.
He explained that of the four people called by the Polda Metro Jaya investigators, only two complied with the subpoena, namely W from the DKI Jakarta Health Office and OS Soekarno-Hatta Airport Security Manager.
