Uruguay won the Conmebol Zone World Ranking 2022. Come to the headquarters of Colombia, Edinson Cavani et al won 3-0.

Behind a goal, Colombia tried to respond. James Rodríguez fired a shot in the 12th minute, but it went over the crossbar. A minute later, his header did not produce a goal either.

Uruguay also continues to press. Rodrigo Bentancur had a chance to increase his lead in the 25th minute, but Ospina kept his shot low on goal.

Colombia had another chance in the 29th minute through Duvan Zapata, but his header was deflected to the left of the goal. The first part ended 1-0.

In the second half, Colombia tried again to equalize. Zapata had the chance again with a header, but Uruguayan goalkeeper Martín Campana managed to clear it.

Instead of drawing, disaster came for Colombia in the 53rd minute. Jeison Murillo is missing in the penalty area, and the referee signals the point for Uruguay. Luis Suárez advanced as executor and successfully fulfilled his functions.

Behind two goals, Colombia is not discouraged. Luis Muriel had a chance to keep up the pace in the 58th minute, but his free kick flew just over the net. Three minutes later, it was Alfredo Morelos’s header who suffered the same fate.

Colombia’s efforts to catch up with the game became increasingly difficult, following Uruguay’s third goal in the 73rd minute. Darwin Nunez’s long shot could not be blocked by Ospina.

Colombia’s misfortune did not end there. In the 90th minute, Yerry Mina had to leave as he received a second yellow card, having previously received a yellow card in the first half. Until the long whistle, the score remained 3-0 for the visitors.

With this result, Uruguay climbed to fourth place in the standings with 6 points from three games. Meanwhile, Colombia fell to sixth place with 4 points from three games.
