KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The plan to roll out Jakarta PSBB Volume 2 continues to draw pros and cons, even from the business community.
The richest man in Indonesia, Robert Budi Hartono, sent a letter to President Joko Widodo. In his letter, Budi Hartono rejected Jakarta PSBB’s new request.
As we know, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan plans to re-impose large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta. Anies revealed that the provincial government of DKI Jakarta will strengthen the PSBB on Monday, September 14, 2020.
The argument for volume 2 of the Jakarta PSBB policy plan is that the number of positive Covid-19 cases has increased. Furthermore, Anies also argued that the capacity of the hospitals in DKI Jakarta was already maximum.
Budi Hartono’s letter of objection to the planned implementation of Jakarta PSBB, dated September 11, 2020, was posted on the Instagram account of Peter F. Gontha (@petergontha).
“Budi Hartono’s letter from the richest person in Indonesia to the President of the Republic of Indonesia in September 2020,” wrote @petergontha accompanied by an attachment to Budi Hartono’s letter, on Saturday (12/9 /).
Budi Hartono made several suggestions. According to Budi Hartono, the decision to reinforce the Jakarta PSBB was wrong. The reason is that the Jakarta PSBB implementation has proven to be ineffective in reducing the growth rate of infections in the capital city.

“In Jakarta, although the DKI Jakarta government has issued PSBB, the growth rate of the infection continues to increase,” the letter said.
Furthermore, according to Budi, the capacity of hospitals in DKI Jakarta will still reach full capacity or the Jakarta PSBB will no longer be enforced as the number of cases continues to increase.

Therefore, local and central governments must continue to prepare separate isolation areas to handle the increase in cases. He took the example of Port Singapore, which built capacity for air-conditioned isolation containers in anticipation of a sudden increase in conditions requiring medical attention.
According to him, this type of facility can be built and built in a short period of time, or less than two weeks, because it uses existing containers, so it only remains to install air conditioning and stairs.
PSBB Jakarta as of September 14, 2020
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan decided to toughen up the enforcement of PSBB policy in Jakarta. This step was taken to reduce the transmission rate in the DKI Jakarta area, which has increased considerably in recent days.
According to Anies, if the decision he calls the emergency braking policy is not made, health facilities in Jakarta will be threatened with collapse.
