Manchester United went crazy when they hosted Southampton in the Premier League. The Red Devils won 9-0, with two of The Saints players sent off.

The course of the match
Red card! Southampton have to play with ten players from the second minute. Alexandre Jankewitz was sent off for hitting Scott McTominay’s thigh with his leg.
Superior number of players, MU freely launched attacks on the defense line. Southampton’s rearguard meeting was unable to penetrate the Red Devils until 15 minutes into the game.
Goal! MU opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Aaron Wan-Bissaka burst into Southampton’s goal with a shot from close range, maximizing Luke Shaw’s cross. The hosts lead 1-0.
Goal! MU doubled the lead seven minutes later. Marcus Rashford receives the bait from Mason Greenwood in the penalty area and throws the ball into Southampton’s goal. Red Devils away 2-0.
Southampton almost scored on a James Ward-Prowse free kick in the 27th minute. David De Gea flew to get the ball and only produced a corner for the visitors.
MU struck again in the 31st minute. Bruno Fernandes shoots the ball from outside the penalty area that leads to the Southampton goal. Alex McCarthy is able to protect the ball.
Goal! MU away 3-0 in the 33rd minute. Jan Bednarek scored an own goal after misjudging a Rashford cross from the right.
Goal! MU increased the lead to 4-0 in the 39th minute. Edinson Cavani successfully healed a Luke Shaw cross into Southampton’s goal.
Position 4-0 for MU to be the final result of the first half.
MU entered Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek in the second half. The home team did not relax their attacks in the second half.
Goal! Southampton opened their first goal in the 53rd minute. Che Adams burst into David De Gea’s goal with his ball from the right side of the penalty area.
WHERE! Adams’ goal was annulled by the video assistant referee because the Southampton striker was caught offside before scoring. Fixed position 4-0 for MU.
Goal! MU scored his fifth goal in the 69th minute. Martial received the ball from Fernandes in the penalty area and fired it into Southampton’s goal.
Goal! MU added a goal a minute later. Scott McTominay fired a long-range shot that slipped into Southampton’s net without McCarthy anticipating it. Red Devils winning 6-0.
Penalty! MU received a penalty in the 83rd minute. Martial was violated by Bednarek in the forbidden box.
Red card! Bednarek was sent off for his foul on Martial after the referee considered a replay of VAR. Southampton has the remaining game with nine players.

Goal! Fernandes, who ran as a penalty taker, managed to fulfill his duties perfectly. The score changed 7-0 for MU.
Goal! Martial recorded a double in this game in the 89th minute. The French forward maximized Wan-Bissaka’s cross to make it a goal.
Goal! Daniel James found Southampton’s goal with a header before the game ended. The match was completed with MU’s 9-0 victory over Southampton.
