jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab was summoned by investigators from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Tuesday (1/12).
Habib Rizieq’s summons was related to the marriage of his daughter, Syarifah Najwa Shihab, accompanied by Prophet Muhammad’s birthday in Petamburan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta on November 14, 2020.
Habib Rizieq was summoned as a witness in two activities that are alleged to have violated health protocol.
However, according to tracking by jpnn.com, there have been no signs of Habib Rizieq’s presence at Polda Metro Jaya. In fact, the exam was scheduled for 10.00 WIB this morning.
That day, investigators also scheduled the questioning of Habib Rizieq’s son-in-law, Hanif Alatas. However, the figure of Najwa Shihab’s husband was also not visible.
Additionally, investigators will also examine three witnesses and a committee with the initials HU who were previously unable to attend.
It was previously reported that Habib Rizieq would be investigated for alleged violations of article 160 of the Penal Code in terms of incitement to the commission of a criminal act, and Law Number 6 of 2018 on Sanitary Quarantine.
The material to examine Rizieq is related to the allegation that this figure who was born on August 24, 1965 incited the public to gather.
