KOMPAS.com – Veteran rider Valentino Rossi seemed less scathing in the first free practice session (FP1) of MotoGP Emilia Romagna, on Friday (9/18/2020) WIB afternoon.

In FP1 held at the Misano Circuit, Valentino Rossi was only 17th.

The collector of seven MotoGP premier class titles recorded the fastest lap time of 1 minute 32.832 seconds.

Rossi feels that other drivers seem to be faster than last week.

“It’s like all the riders are faster than last week,” he said, quoted on the website. Yamaha MotoGP.

“So we have to work on the (next) gear,” said the Monster Energy Yamaha rider.

Rossi is also determined to do even better in FP2 after this.

“We will fix the arrangement and test some different tires,” said the 41-year-old.

“We’ll see what happens to FP2,” Rossi said.

As for the FP1 MotoGP Emilia Romagna 2020, Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Fabio Quartararo came out as the fastest.

Quartararo outperformed the other drivers by recording the fastest lap time of 1 minute 31.721 seconds.

The 21-year-old ran ahead of teammate Franco Morbidelli, who finished second in FP1, which lasted 45 minutes.

Franco Morbidelli posted a lap time of 1 minute 31.811 seconds.

Meanwhile, Pol Espargaró (KTM) is entitled to third place with a record time of 1 minute 31.841 seconds.

Completing the top five were Joan Mir (Suzuki Ecstar) and Miguel Oliveira (KTM Tech3) who finished fourth and fifth respectively.
