The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) claims that Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) bought land from farmers before building the Markaz Islamic boarding school in Megamendung, Bogor Regency, which was advised by PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII. FPI lawyer Aziz Yanuar said his party is ready to hand over the land as long as there is compensation.
“That the MS-MM administration is ready to release the land if the state needs it, but please compensate the family and the ummat that has been spent to buy the over-cultivation of the land and the development costs in which has been incurred, “Aziz said in a written statement on Thursday (12/24/2020).
According to him, the compensation money will later be used to rebuild Markaz Syariah elsewhere. That is why FPI asked for compensation.
“The cost of compensation can be used to rebuild the Markaz Syariah Islamic boarding school elsewhere,” he said.
Earlier, PTPN VIII issued a subpoena requesting Markaz Syariah (MS) to hand over the land on which the Markaz Syariah Islamic boarding school (Ponpes) was built. FPI claims that Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) bought land from farmers before building the boarding school.
“It should be noted that the entry of IB HRS and the management of the MS-MM foundation to establish a boarding school is paying farmers, not seizing them,” said Aziz Yanuar, FPI Wasekum in a written statement, Thursday (12/24) .
Aziz emphasized that the FPI has never taken over no man’s land. He said the farmers brought a letter that had been signed by local village officials. In fact, he said that this document had been copied to the local governor and regent.
“And the farmers came with a letter that was signed by the local village chief and RT. So the land that was established by the Sharia Markaz Ponpes has all the letters. That’s called buying overgrown land,” he said.
“The document is complete and has been copied to state institutions, from the regent to the governor. And it is true that the land belongs to PTPN VIII which is being cultivated by the community. So we emphasize once again that we do not take the land from PTPN VIII, but rather buy it from the farmers. , “he continued.
On the other hand, Aziz said that HRS is willing to start from Markaz Syariah, as long as the land owner can pay the cost of building the boarding school.
“That the MS-MM administration is ready to release the land if the state needs it, but please make up for the family and community money that has been spent to purchase the over-cultivation of the land and development costs. that have been spent so that compensation costs can be used to rebuild the Markaz “Sharia Islamic boarding school elsewhere,” he said.
