JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, instructed the mandatory rapid antigen testing policy for people traveling out of town in areas experiencing an increase in Covid-19 cases.
“I ask that today the POE for the use of antigens be resolved immediately,” Luhut said last Tuesday.
The prominent areas that have an increase in the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak are West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, South Sumatra, North Sumatra, Bali, East Kalimantan, and DKI Jakarta.
The DKI Jakarta provincial government immediately responded to Luhut’s instructions.

The obligation to send letters of rapid antigen test results for entry and exit from DKI Jakarta will be implemented immediately from Friday.
The head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said the regulations, including requirements for antigen test results, will be valid during the Christmas and New Year holidays from December 18, 2020 to December 8. January 2021.
Mandatory rapid antigen testing applies to users of public transportation to and from Jakarta.
“It is a national obligation, which means that for airlines, (passengers) who are going to buy tickets are obliged to make quick results,” Syafrin said.
Focus on the air path
Syafrin said that examination of the rapid antigen test results for the entry and exit requirements of DKI Jakarta will focus on the air route.
“We prioritize in the air to include it (rapid antigen test),” he said.

However, Syafrin continued, examination of the rapid antigen test results was also carried out on public transport, sea and land routes.
Meanwhile, private vehicles are not yet subject to a rapid antigen test result letter inclusion policy.
“No (for private vehicles), prospective passengers must submit quick test results,” he said.
Test results are valid for 14 days.
Transportation Ministry spokeswoman Adita Irawati said that the certificate of rapid antigen test results has the same validity period as the results of other tests such as the rapid antibody test and PCR, which is 14 days. .

He explained that currently the Covid-19 Working Group is still drafting new rules regarding people’s travel during the pandemic, especially for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Test price at Soetta airport
Following the latest regulations, Soekarno-Hatta Airport opened various types of Covid-19 testing services.
In a written statement, PT Angkasa Pura II President and Director Muhammad Awaluddin said that the Soekarno-Hatta Airport opened an airport health center located in Terminal 3 of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
