JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Bareskrim Polri explained the reasons why he did not invite the six assassinated members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) and the FPI in the reconstruction of the incident of the shooting at the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, on Monday (12/14 / 2020) in the morning.
The six FPI members who were in charge of escorting the FPI leader, Rizieq Shihab, are known to have died after being shot by the police.
They were shot for allegedly attacking police on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road, on Monday (7/12/2020).
“Reconstruction is one of the investigative techniques aimed at strengthening the evidence for the benefit of the investigation, not for the interests of the parties,” said Bareskrim Polri Director of General Crimes, Brigadier General (Pol), Andi Rian R Djajadi, to Kompas.com, Monday.

Andi said investigators are not required to invite the family or the FPI to reconstruct this case.
Even so, the researchers also invited several outside agencies to participate in the reconstruction.
“Yes, it is true (Kompolnas, Kontras, Komnas HAM and Amnesty International Indonesia) were invited,” he said.
However, of several invited parties, only Kompolnas was present.
Komnas HAM was not present as he was consolidating the results of the investigation and making preparations to request information from the Chief of Police of Metro Jaya, Inspector General Fadil Imran and the President Director of PT Jasa Marga about today’s incident.
Meanwhile, Kontras was not present for reasons of independence. Kontras also questioned the results of the reconstruction.
“There are several irregularities that we have found in the police, that these victims died in the car, then it is suspected that he also fought them, there are a series of contradictory statements,” the deputy coordinator of Kontras Rivanlee Anandar said on Monday on the page of KompasTV (12/14/2020).
Apart from that, Kontras also highlighted the issue of the police not inviting the victims, in this case the FPI, to rebuild.
After the reconstruction carried out by the police in the early hours of Monday, the police vehicle was initially intercepted by the car of members of the FPI Laskar. The police were also said to have been attacked by members of the FPI laskar.
According to the police, it was members of the FPI laskar who shot first. The shooting continued.
Subsequently, the two FPI members who died were transferred to a police car in the rest area of the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road. Meanwhile, four members of the FPI paramilitary troops who were still alive were transferred to Polda Metro Jaya.
However, the four members of the FPI laskar tried to seize weapons belonging to the police when the car was on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 51 + 200 toll road.

Then the police opened fire. The FPI Laskar members were then transferred to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta.
On the other hand, the FPI has different information about the incident.
The FPI previously denied that members of the laskar attacked and shot the police first. According to the FPI, members of the laskar are not equipped with firearms.
