The cyberspace world was shocked by the viral videos of civilians driving official TNI cars. The Indonesian Army Military Police Center (Puspomad) moved quickly to investigate. What was the vetting process like until it was finally revealed who was driving the official TNI car?
The civilians driving an official TNI car started from a viral video on social networks (medsos) that lasts 2 minutes 8 seconds, it seems that the official SUV-type car has registration number 3688-34. The license plate on the dark green car looks like an official license plate.
The car is parked at one of the food stalls in Padang. However, the exact location where this video was taken is not yet known.
Then the video recorder went to the man at the Padang food stand. The owner of the car wears a white shirt and shorts.
The recorder asked the man in the white shirt about the ownership and identity of the car. The man in the white shirt said the car belonged to him and had admitted that he was an active member of the TNI. However, she later corrected her statement after being asked to show TNI (KTA) membership card.
“He’s not a member of the cave. I’m kidding,” replied the man in the white shirt.
The Indonesian Army raised its voice with the viral video of civilians in the official TNI car. Puspomad is currently investigating the video.
“It is being handled by Puspomad,” the head of the Indonesian Army Information Service (Kadispenad), TNI Brigadier General Nefra Firdaus, said on Friday (10/2/2020).

Puspomad conducted an investigation into viral videos of civilians using official TNI cars. The results of the investigation were revealed.
“That it is true that the Toyota Fortuner vehicle with army green registration number 3688-34 is the Puspomad registration number, but the vehicle is not an organic Puspomad vehicle,” said the commander of the Indonesian Army Military Police (Danpuspomad) , Lieutenant General Dodik Widjanarko in his statement, Saturday (3/10/2020).

The status of this official car was loaned to a retired TNI AD officer. Loans since 2017.
“Based on the results of the preliminary examination, the vehicle registration number was loaned to Colonel Cpm (ret) Bagus Heru Sucahyo from 2017 to the present at the request of the interested party,” he said.
The granting of the license to use official vehicles for retired officers does not violate the rules. However, the official vehicle cannot be used by unauthorized persons.
“It should be noted that the retired military police still have permission to borrow and use registration numbers to be used within a certain time and capacity limit, but they cannot be used by unauthorized persons,” he said.
