Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan asked to coordinate with the central government on its decision to re-impose large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) total it is considered unclear in the capital.

However, the heads of the Jabodetabek regions, Bima said, agreed to ask Anies to first coordinate with the central government to refine the concept and formula of the PSBB Total.
At the meeting also attended by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, and the Governor of Banten, Wahidin Halim, Bima said that Anies plans to coordinate with the central government tomorrow Saturday (9/12), before the meeting is celebrate again on Monday (9/14). .
“So, in fact, there are no detailed steps from the governor, which have been transmitted to us. So it seems that the governor should first coordinate with the central government on Saturday. Only then on Monday, the governor, will coordinate with us again,” he said. Bima.
However, Bima admitted that he firmly refused to allow Bogor City to participate in the PSBB Total as DKI. Because according to him, this step was considered ineffective in suppressing the increase in Covid-19 cases.
The PAN politician said that his party had other concepts to face the spread of Covid-19 in the City of Rain. That method, namely, Social Restrictions at Micro and Community Scale (PSBMK) which is now being implemented in the city of Bogor.
Bima said his rejection of the total PSBB was related to the budget. He is pessimistic that the central government will have enough budget if various regions, especially in Jabodetabek, re-implement the PSBB Total.
“Is the central government ready or not to provide additional social assistance? Is APBD ready or not? TNI-Polri ready or not? If it is not ready, it is not necessary,” Bima said firmly.
Anies announced on Wednesday (9/9) his plan to re-implement the PSBB in Jakarta. The PSBB, which will be rolled out in full, he said, will take effect from September 14.
PSBB in total is Anies’ response to the alarming developments in the Covid-19 case in Jakarta. Anies said that positive Covid-19 cases and deaths have increased in recent weeks.
In his statement, he called his decision an emergency brake. Anies was concerned that the addition of Covid-19 cases was followed by a reduction in the capacity of the Covid-19 referral hospital.
With the implementation of the full PSBB, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta plans to close again a number of public facilities, such as offices, entertainment or tourist places, restaurants, including places of worship.
