Jakarta

The sad news comes for lovers of Indonesian cuisine. Indomie spice mixer Nunuk Nuraini died yesterday at the age of 59 (27/1).

The name Nunuk Nuraini is not a new figure in the culinary world. It is an Indomie spice mixer produced by PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.

Nunuk Nuraini is known to have worked for almost 30 years in the PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk instant noodle division. Thanks to its concoction, Indomie has become one of the Indonesian’s favorite instant noodles.

As quoted on Indomie’s official website, on Thursday (1/28/2021), the instant noodle was first released in 1971, which only provided chicken broth flavor. In 1982, Indofood launched the flavor of fried noodles, the first dry variant that was consumed without sauce.

So far, there are indomie flavors ranging from soto, rendang, chicken curry, to sambal matah and many more.

Upon returning to Nunuk Nuraini, he graduated from Padjadjaran University with a specialization in Food Technology. It’s no wonder your hands are so good at mixing spices to make food taste good.

Not only in Indonesia, this instant noodle is also enjoyed by people from all countries. Indomie has been marketed in 80 countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, Asia, Africa, Europe, and countries in the Middle East.

The news of Nunuk Nuraini’s passing made many netizens feel lost. Not a few think that he is a hero figure, especially for a boarding boy who often consumes Indomie.

“Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun, hopefully it will become a charity for him because he finds a delicious indomie taste,” wrote one netizen.

“Alfatihah, I look forward to Husnul khotimah for Ms. Nunuk Nuraini. Thank you for your struggle and dedication in mixing and realizing the variety of Indomie flavors,” said another netizen.
