His experience as a BBC announcer for 12 years became an important note in his life.

When he returned to Indonesia, Inke Maris was tasked with being an English television host at TVRI.

Inke Maris returned to Indonesia because she followed her husband, Rizal Maris, who at the time was transferred to Citibank Jakarta.

From then on, Indonesians began to recognize Inke Maris for being an English television presenter.

Throughout her career, she successfully interviewed former British Prime Minister Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Palestinian First President Yaseer Arafat, Australia’s 24th Prime Minister Paul Keating, and India’s sixth Prime Minister Rajiv Gandh.

He also had the opportunity to accompany Tien Soeharto when President Soeharto made an official visit to receive the FAO award in Rome, Italy.
