Young Indonesian player Amiruddin Bagus Kahfi Alfikri has officially joined FC Utrecht. FC Utrecht is one of the elite teams in the Netherlands.

Bagus Kahfi was officially unveiled as a new FC Utrecht player on Friday (2/5/2021) yesterday. He is hired until next year, with an option to extend for two years.

The 19-year-old forward will then reinforce the U-18 team first. If the adaptation goes well, it’s not impossible for Bagus Kahfi to move up the ranks of Jong Utrecht, also known as FC Utrecht’s reserve team.

Jong Utrecht currently competes in the second division of the Dutch league, one notch below the Eredivisie, where the FC Utrecht first team fights. Generally, FC Utrecht was founded on July 1, 1970, as a result of the merger of three clubs: VV DOS, Velox and USV Elinkwijk.

Along the way, FC Utrecht experienced various financial difficulties and came close to bankruptcy. There have been several transfers of ownership, including in 2003 and 2008.

Based in the Galgenwaard Stadium, FC Utrecht has not even tasted the German League title. The only title was won while it was still in the status of VV DOS, one of the three clubs that merged to become Utrecht.

However, FC Utrecht have three Dutch Cup titles, won in 1984/1985, 2002/2003 and 2003/2004. The title could have risen last year, but the final against Feyenoord was canceled following the COVID-19 pandemic.

FC Utrecht also has a Dutch Super Cup title, which was won in 2004. In European competitions, the club has the nickname Utreg This has fought 15 times in both the Cup Winners’ Cup, the Intertoto Cup, the UEFA Cup and the Europa League. Currently, FC Utrecht is ranked 153rd in UEFA.

Dirk Kuyt is one of the most popular graduates of FC Utrecht. In Indonesia, Irfan Bachdim and Stefano Lilipaly are two players who have worked there.
