jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya has carried out a case title related to the alleged involvement of two employees of Correctional Institutions (Lapas) in the case of the escape of a prisoner named Cai Changpan from Class 1 Prison Tangerang, Banten, El September 14, 2020.
The two people, the initials S, are the Deputy Commanders of the Prison Brigade.

Polda Metro’s Head of Public Relations Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said the results of the case title determined the two employees to be suspects.
“We (investigators, ed) raised the status of witnesses as suspects,” Yusri told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, on Tuesday (10/6).
The two prison officials, said the former Tanjungpinang police chief, were charged with Article 426 of the Penal Code, that is, deliberately letting people escape or deliberately releasing them, or providing assistance when the person is released or escaping with the threat of 4 years in prison.
The 1991 alumnus of the Police Academy (Akpol) said the two were shown to help Cai Changpan escape, one of whom was buying a water pump in exchange for 100,000 rupees.
“The facts we have found are indications of negligence in helping the suspect or Cai Changpan to escape,” he said.
It is known that Cai Ji Fan alias Cai Changpan alias Antoni, a Chinese citizen who is in prison in the Class 1 Correctional Institution of Tangerang (Lapas) escaped through the sewer he made for six months, on Monday (9/14).
Cai Changpan dug the sewers with construction tools such as a shovel, a screwdriver, and a water pump.
Apart from that, the questioning of the witnesses found that the convict had bought cigarettes in the vicinity of the prison and returned to his home in Tenjo forest, Bogor Regency, after escaping.
Currently, the police and prison authorities have coordinated with the Directorate General of Immigration of the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent Cai Changpan from leaving the country.
In addition, it has coordinated with Disdukcapil to block the KTP in question.
