Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are confirmed to be sold in Indonesia. This is because this device has received certificates from the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) and the Ministry of Industry.
More recently, Kominfo has issued digital certificates for iPhone 12 series devices. There are three companies that can sell four iPhone 12 smartphones in Indonesia. Namely: PT Apple Indonesia, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk and Mapple Adiperkasa, as quoted on the SDPPI Directorate General website, Friday (11/13/2020).
Previously, the Ministry of Industry had issued a certificate indicating that the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max exceeded the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of at least 30%.
This digital certificate was issued by the Ministry of Industry on October 27, 2020. Unfortunately, the iPhone 12 series in Indonesia will support 4G LTE internet network instead of 5G. This is because there is no 5G technology in Indonesia.
These two certificates are the confirmation that the Apple iPhone 12 series will be sold in Indonesia. However, the pre-order date and release date are not yet known.
