JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo has issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 98/2020 on Salaries and Benefits for Government Employees with Employment Contract (PPPK).
In Perpres, the lowest PPPK salary is Group I a, amounting to 1,747,900 IDR. The highest salary, PPPK class IV e, reaches Rs 6,776,500.
This provision is contained in the details of PPPK salaries for each group in the Presidential Decree that was promulgated on September 29.

Perpres also regulates the amount of PPPK salaries and benefits that are the same as for public officials in central and regional government agencies.
The beleid is enshrined in article 2, paragraph 2 and article 4, paragraph 1 of the Presidential Decree.
“PPPK who is appointed to perform the duties of the position as mentioned in paragraph (1) receives a salary based on the group and the group’s work time as mentioned in the Appendix which is an integral part of these Presidential Regulations”, said Article 2 Paragraph 2 of Presidential Decree No. 98 of 2020.
“The PPPKs who are appointed to carry out their duties as mentioned in article 2, paragraph (1), receive assignments in accordance with the assignments for public officials in the government agencies where PPPK works,” indicated the provisions of the PPPK allocations based on article 4, paragraph 1, of Presidential Regulation 98/2020.

According to Presidential Regulations, PPPK is also entitled to receive regular and special salary increases.
Article 3 Paragraph 3 establishes that the technical salary increase is regulated in a Regulation of the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform.
The benefits that PPPK gets consist of family allowances, food, structural charges, functional charges and other benefits.
Then, Perpres also stipulates that PPPK salaries and allowances in central government agencies are borne by APBN.

Meanwhile, PPPK salaries and allowances in local government agencies are borne by the APBD.
Subsequently, more technical provisions will be regulated to regulate PPPK salaries and benefits in central government agencies through a Regulation of the Ministry of Finance.
As for the salaries and technical subsidies of the PPPK in local government agencies, it will be regulated by a Regulation of the Ministry of the Interior.
