Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The central government will announce the issue of certainty about the implementation of the full Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in DKI Jakarta, following a series of pressures for the policy to be canceled.

The chair of the COVID-19 Management Working Group, Doni Monardo, said that the announcement of the Large Scale Social Restrictions of DKI Jakarta (PSBB) will be made public tomorrow Sunday (13/9). Currently, the DKI provincial government and the central government are still meeting to determine the Jakarta PSBB.

“For the PSBB that has been announced by the Governor of DKI, tomorrow it will be officially broadcast to the media around 13.00 WIB,” said the Head of the COVID-19 Management Task Force, Doni Monardo, at a conference of press to update the condition of foreign athletes, on Saturday (12/9/2020).

According to him, the meeting on the Jakarta PSBB decision is still being discussed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the COVID-19 Management Working Group. The meetings last from now until tomorrow.

“Tonight until tomorrow morning, so that the announcement made to the public has a certainty, harmonization between central and regional interests,” Doni said.

Doni emphasized that the government prioritizes public health. Currently, there is no certainty whether DKI will implement the PSBB or not. The central government prefers the social micro and community restrictions (PSBMK).

“We have to do our best to work together to make prevention efforts our primary focus. The community should be the spearhead, it should be the front line. Don’t let the hospital doctors become the main guard They must be the last bastion, so that we can save energy. -Doctors, other health workers, nurses. We don’t want to lose more doctors, “said Doni.

Previously, various parties requested that PSBB’s full decision in DKI Jakarta, which will take effect on September 14, be canceled. The reason is that this policy will have a negative impact on the economic survival of many people.

However, there are also those who support Anies Baswedan with the argument that health is more important than the economy.
