JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The joint police investigators requested a checking account belonging to a cleaning officer, which reportedly had an account balance of hundreds of millions of rupees.
Bareskrim Polri’s director of general crimes, Brigadier General (Pol) Ferdy Sambo, said investigators along with cleaning officers had visited the bank to request the printed bank statements on Wednesday (9/30/2020).
“Joint law enforcement investigators and stakeholders went to Bank BRI and Bank Mandiri head office to ask to print checking account for the last five years, ”Ferdy said when contacted on Thursday (10/1/2020).
The cleaning officer named Joko was a witness in the fire case in the Main Office of the Attorney General’s Office.

The issue of cleaners with a balance of hundreds of million rupees was first raised by a member of DPR RI Commission III, Arteri Dahlan.
Until now, the police are investigating this case.
On Thursday today, police officers examined four witnesses related to this case, consisting of senior AGO officials, AGO officials, Ministry of Commerce officials, and Top Cleaner vendors.
However, there were no further details on which senior AGO officials were being questioned.

Additionally, investigators will conduct a case title with the Public Prosecutor (JPU) which is scheduled for 10.00 WIB.
“Next, we will present the title of the case with the investigating prosecutor (Q16),” said Ferdy.
In this case, the police found that a criminal act was suspected. After the police carry out a case title, the case proceeds to the investigation stage.
The criminal elements referred to in article 187 of the Penal Code and / or article 188 of the Penal Code.
Article 187 of the Penal Code establishes that anyone who intentionally starts a fire is threatened with 12 years in prison, 15 years in prison or life if the victim dies.

Then, article 188 of the Penal Code establishes who, by mistake or negligence, causes a fire with the threat of a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
So far, the police have not identified any suspects.
The fire that occurred on August 22, 2020 at 6.15pm WIB, was finally extinguished the next day, August 23, 2020 at 6.15am WIB.
As a result of this incident, all the rooms in the AGO Main Office caught fire.
