Jakarta – Police secured a man at South Jakarta Police Headquarters this morning. The man was insured for carrying a knife.
South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Azis Andriansyah confirmed the incident. The incident happened around 09.30 WIB earlier.
“(The incident) this morning, we are handling it to be taken to the hospital,” Kombes Azis Andiansyah said in a statement to the press on Saturday (3/19/2021).
In a video circulating on social media, it appears that the police are securing a topless man at the entrance of the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police. Several members of the police personnel appeared to be holding the man.
The man rebelled, overwhelming the police. Even so, the police quickly secured the man on his back on the asphalt.
Later, other policemen seized a knife the man was carrying. Currently, the police are still handling the incident.
