The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) denied the results of an autopsy carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on the discovery of 18 gunshot wounds on the bodies of 6 FPI personnel. The FPI said the autopsy results based on expert testimony were invalid.

“The expert’s statement was invalid, because it was made ignoring the official refusals of the family,” said FPI Wasekum Aziz Yanuar when contacted on Saturday (12/19/2020).

Aziz said that the rejection of the expert’s statement on the result of the autopsy was based on article 134 subsection 2 and 3 of the Penal Code on the denial of an autopsy. Aziz confirmed that his party would provide evidence of the FPI’s body condition to Komnas HAM.

“The evidence will be delivered by us to Komnas HAM to be objective because in our opinion the authority to do this is Komnas HAM,” he said.

Aziz said that the evidence to Komnas HAM will be sent next week. According to him, all the evidence that FPI has on the confrontation will also be presented.

“Next week, we are just waiting for the Komnas HAM time, when it will be delivered. Later everything we have will be delivered,” he said.
