The detainees were 36 students, 32 students, 16 self-employed and 11 unemployed. A total of 90 people have been discharged, while another 4 are undergoing further testing.

Earlier, Akhfa Rahman Nabiel (20), a student in the philosophy studies program at Gadjah Mada University, was forced to admit that he provoked his friends. This was done after a conversation was found through the WhatsApp application.

In fact, Nabiel said, the contents of the conversation were just jokes with other UGM student friends about their plan to cover the rally in Malioboro.

“They consider my talk with this student chaotic to provoke a demonstration in the DPRD Building,” he lamented.

Nabiel also admitted to having been tortured by the authorities during his interrogation. When visiting the UGM leaders, Nabiel admitted that she was still experiencing shortness of breath as a result of experiencing physical violence.

“I hit my head and face several times, until the butt of my glasses broke,” he said.
