Police had secured 6 people when removing FPI posters in Petamburan

Several joint officers arrived in the Petamburan area in central Jakarta to remove the banners belonging to the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI). Officers also had time to secure six people at the scene.

Supervision detikcom, joint officers formed by Brimob and TNI arrived at Jalan Petamburan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/30/2020) around 16.05 WIB. Officers immediately removed the FPI banners.

During the process of removing the FPI banner, officers were also seen securing six people at the scene. They then led the six people onto the main road.

They were asked to walk in single file. It is not yet known why the six people were arrested.

“Then we will ask,” Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Heru Novianto said of the six people.

Kombes Heru Novianto said that he would oversee all FPI activities. It will work together with TNI.

“We, myself and the Dandim, will always monitor that the signed SKB is fulfilled and enforced,” Heru said.
