Police arrested a perpetrator who allegedly shot the student who protested the protests Rizieq Shihab in Makassar. Meanwhile, another person continues to chase the police.
The perpetrator who was immediately named a suspect was on behalf of Riswandi (37).
He and 10 others allegedly attacked dozens of South Sulawesi Love for Peace Youth Alliance students who were demonstrating in Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, in front of the Mandala Monument, Ujung Pandang District, on Tuesday (December 1) against Rizieq Shihab’s planned visit to Makassar.
At that time, a student was wounded by an arrow on behalf of Prawira Dirga, (26), a student at the Law School of the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI) Makassar.
Ujung Pandang Police Chief Kompol Bagas Sancoyoning Aji said that the Makassar police team helped his group secure Riswandi at his home in Jalan Sungai Limboto.
“In the video that went viral on social media, it was seen that the perpetrator was charging and pointing a bow at the protesting students,” Bagas said.
A search was also carried out during the arrest and various evidence in the form of a bow and sling, several bottles of Molotov and a bottle of gasoline were confiscated.
“The perpetrator was charged under Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951 with the threat of 10 years in prison and article 351 paragraph 2 of the Penal Code on serious ill-treatment, together with article 56 paragraph 1 with the threat of 5 years from prison, ”said Bagas.
“No FPI, he just seized the moment,” Bripka Wandi said.
