TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Bareskrim Polri is continuing to investigate the motives of the suspect who performed the parody of the insulting Indonesia national anthem Raya NJ (11) and MDF (16) by uploading the content to My Asean YouTube accounts and the Asean Channel.

The chief of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said his party had just heard a statement from New Jersey on the reasons for uploading the content.

Argo said New Jersey is not the person to parody the national anthem.

Argo claimed that the first creator of the content was the MDF, which was uploaded to My Asean’s YouTube account. At that time, MDF included NJ’s identity in the upload as if it were made by NJ.

That’s what upset NJ. Shortly after the MDF uploaded the video, NJ republished the video and uploaded it to the Asean Channel YouTube account.

“Of course, New Jersey’s statement in Malaysia is that it is angry with the MDF in Cianjur. But its anger is the reason why investigators are being investigated that very night, newcomers,” Argo said at the police headquarters , Jakarta, on Friday (1/1/2020)

Argo said NJ and MDF have known and become friends in cyberspace for a long time.

So far, the National Police are still investigating the exact reason for the rise of the parody of the national anthem Indonesia Raya.

“We will go through this and then our colleagues will know why you are angry and then they will upload the video to the YouTube channel,” Argo said.

As previously reported, the suspect who performed the parody of the Indonesian Raya national anthem abuse was not a Malaysian citizen. In fact, the perpetrator was an Indonesian citizen (WNI).
