An honorary teacher at SDN 169 Sadar Village, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), Hervina (34), was fired by the school principal after raising her salary by Rp 700 thousand on social media. The president of PB PGRI, Unifah Rosyidi, said that the dismissal action for this reason was not prudent.

“In my opinion it is not prudent to fire just for posting, everyone already knows that we are all struggling, honorary salaries are like that, what we do is that all officials must understand that teachers play an important role and without them you cannot learn . place, because that is respect, mutual respect, “Unifah said, when contacted, on Thursday (11/2/2021).

Unifah said the school should have asked for clarification on the teacher’s position to be resolved together. He considered, this action seemed to consider an honorary teacher worthless.

“You don’t have to get fired, talk, talk, rich people who don’t have a very job, you know,” he said.

Additionally, Unifah also reminded the teachers to know their limits. He asked to be wiser when using social media.

“Teachers also respect each other and know the limits, do not be tempted to talk from time to time is unprofitable, so the point is to be cautious, local officials do not have to burn their beards, because the conditions are like let’s talk about it together, “he said.
