Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan’s decision to remove Jakarta’s central mayor Bayu Meghantara and DKI Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) director Andono Warih sparked criticism from the PDIP faction in the DPRD of DKI Jakarta. This criticism was relayed by the chairman of the PDIP faction, Gembong Warsono, as reported by detik.com.
“This activity caused many officials to become victims. (Governor Anies Baswedan) sacrificed his men,” he said.
According to Gembong, Anies should have been adamant about the crowds at Habib Rizieq Shihab’s Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) event in Petamburan from the start. However, at this time, it found that the DKI Jakarta provincial government appeared inconsistent in implementing the rules.
“So the PDI-P faction urged the provincial government of DKI Jakarta to openly broadcast to the public about the activities in Petamburan, if these activities lead to the spread of Covid-19,” he said.
DKI Jakarta’s PAN faction advisor Zita Anjani, when contacted on Saturday (11/28/2020), admitted that he respects Anies’ decision. However, he considered that communication between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and Habib Rizieq and FPI was necessary.
“I’m sorry, why is there no communication, deliberation to reach consensus? It’s difficult if everything is decided by evicting there, eliminating it here. Try to get along with FPI, find common ground, I’m sure you can,” he said cited by detik.com.
According to Zita, the mayor of Central Jakarta anticipated the Habib Rizieq crowd. Furthermore, Zita also referred to Anies who had visited Petamburan and Lieutenant Governor Riza Patria, who had been to Tebet, South Jakarta, to attend Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birthday event, which also created a crowd.
“Yes, to do (prevention of transmission) in my opinion. The governor and the lieutenant governor were also present as far as I remember,” Zita said.
