Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Secretary General of the DPP PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto spoke in response to controversial statements made by members of the IX DPR RI Commission of the PDIP faction Ribka tjiptaning who refused to be injected with the vaccine against the corona virus (Covid-19) and preferred to pay a fine.

According to him, Ribka’s statement was intended to put the interests and safety of the community before the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination program.

“Ribka Tjiptaning, if you look at the statement as a whole as a unified message, what is transmitted is to remember the lines of health policy that should prioritize the interests and safety of the community,” Hasto said in his statement, Wednesday ( 13/1).

Hasto said that Ribka in his statement emphasized that the state should not do business with the people. Ribka, according to him, also warned that services to the public related to Covid-19 vaccination should not be marketed as happened in the swabs or PCR service.

“For those who are willing to pay high, the PCR results are quick, while for little people they often have to wait three to 10 days, the PCR results just come out. The commercialization of this service is criticized by Ribka because health services are for everyone, and should promote a sense of humanity and justice. ” he said.

Based on that, Hasto asked that communication and socialization about the Covid-19 vaccine be done in a massive way, to avoid various forms of misinformation.

“A complete explanation of vaccines is very important. PDI Perjuangan will help communicate and socialize people about the importance of vaccines,” Hasto said.

Previously, Ribka made a controversial statement at the IX House Commission Working Meeting with Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin on Tuesday (1/12). He firmly refused to be vaccinated against covid-19. He admitted that he chose to pay a fine rather than have the Covid-19 vaccine injected.

“Secondly, if the vaccine problem still does not want to be vaccinated or even those who are 63 years old can get vaccinated, I am already 63 years old. For example, living in DKI Jakarta, all my children and grandchildren receive penalties of 5 million of rupees, I prefer to pay, “he said at the meeting.

Ribka indicated that he still doubted the Covid-19 vaccine. Reflecting on the experience of giving other vaccines, which actually leave people paralyzed to death For example, the polio vaccine left several people paralyzed in Sukabumi and the elephant foot vaccine in Majalaya killed 12 people.

“I was the first to say that I was the first to reject the vaccine. If you force yourself to violate human rights, you cannot force yourself,” he said.
